Excellent little pasta shop churning out housemade roman pasta. They are very intentional with how their flour and other ingredients are sourced and that carries through to a very beautiful and delicious end product. I also really respect the commitment to simplicity - they are showcasing what makes italian food so good. Fusillo serves pasta and that's really it. The meatballs were excellent, not too big and so soft and tender. The tomato sauce was a standout - well balanced, complex and a great texture that coated the meatballs. The ragu with the mezze maniche pasta shape (like a half-rigatoni), was similarly just perfect. The al-dente pasta has nice ridges that allow the ragu and cheese to cling to it. Pesto with mezze maniche and burrata was good, but we should have gone with the recommended fusilli pasta shape instead. I wanted more sauciness/emulsification from the pesto. Finally, the tiramisu was an enjoyable way to end the meal. I liked how soft the ladyfingers were, and the generous amount of cream. Personally I would like more espresso soaked into the ladyfingers. Overall, please check out this spot! You will have a great meal here.

Couldn’t say better things about this place! The owner was so nice and helped us pick the best dishes for us. You could taste how fresh the ingredients were. The burrata was excellent and the tomatos had the perfect amount of acidity. It reminded me so much of our trip to Italy. You can really tell how much they care about bringing their home to St. Pete’s. Please come here!

I have celiacs and know how authentic this place is! I can eat pastas and breads in Europe and this met their match! It was delicious and cooked perfectly al dente! GF friends, give their ‘non gluten’ pasta a try! No reactions at all and it’s superior!

Fusillo was such a cute, quaint and quick lunch spot. The restaurant itself was small, bright, colorful and clean — and the location is so convenient. For me, the pasta was adequate — balanced and satisfying in my moment. It’s fast casual, and the food does come fast, so I’d give it a 7/10. Solid, light pasta dishes with super traditional and inviting combinations. And I give points for being vegetarian friendly. My noodles struggled to pick up the sauce (which was a little loose) and I wished the noodles were more flavorful or tossed more in the sauce because they lacked flavor a bit. Overall, it was solid, with checking out!!! Get the desserts 😋😋😋 Here’s what I tried: - Carbonara with chicken — pecarino cheese & black pepper truly stood out, it was creamy and savory from the cheese and yolks. glossy al dente noodles - Amatriciana w/ chicken

This is an outstanding new addition to Downtown St. Pete. While nestled in the EDGE District, you will be instantly transported to Italy. The owners, Alessandro Casali and Giangiacomo Greco, hail from Italy, and they have brought authentic and delectable dishes from the Old World. From my travels in Italy, I noticed that the pasta dishes are not too heavy and not over-sauced - Fusillo brings this same focus on ingredient integrity and simplicity to DTSP. This does not mean that the dishes are simple. During their grand opening, I thoroughly enjoyed the carbonara mezze maniche and the pesto Fusillo. I added burrata to the carbonara and shrimp to the pesto. The pasta was cooked perfectly al dente and not mushy. The carbonara was authentic Italian prepared with guanciale (not bacon, which is a sin) and the burrata added a comforting creamy element. Most carbonaras are so rich and heavy that they put you to sleep, this was not the case at Fusillo. The pesto sauce was bright and herby, which hit the spot. The portions are substantial and the prices are extremely fair. Don't let the fast-casual moniker fool you, the pasta dishes are superior to some fine dining restaurants in St. P
